Fulshaw View Cottage   Project Overview

Fulshaw View Cottage in Barrowford, Lancashire, needed a comprehensive update while retaining its original character. The owners came to Genesis through friends whose holiday cottage we had recently refurbished.

The work brought renovation and interior design together: replastering, a new heating system, lighting and electrics, carpets, cupboard joinery and redecoration. Feature wallpaper, curtains and blinds added warmth to the bedroom, study and living spaces.

We selected statement oak furniture for the living and dining areas, main bedroom and office, then brought the rooms together with accessories and considered touches of colour. Coordinating the renovation and furnishing helped create a consistent feel throughout the home.

The cottage was completed in time for Christmas, giving the owners a bright, cosy and comfortable home without losing the character they loved.

Fulshaw View Cottage - Customer Review

After Genesis Interior Stylists were recommened to us by friends, who had recently had some interior design work done to a very high and unique standard by Chris and Jenny on their barn, we contacted them to undertake the almost complete renovation of our 1800's cottage.
This was a big undertaking, and we had a very tight timescale to complete the works. We thought it might be an impossible task but Chris and Jenny managed to pull it off with aplomb!

With their network of high-quality tradesmen, the work was finished in time and completely transformed our once dark and dingey cottage, that was in dire need of updating, into a bright, modern, cosy and comfortable living space, but without losing the character of our home or any of the original features.

Chris and Jenny were a delight to deal with and went above and beyond in helping us achieve our aims. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone - from interior to design to project management or anything in between.
