See what to consider when furnishing your home

You don’t have to coordinate every detail yourself

A beautiful interior depends on more than choosing individual pieces. It’s how the layout, proportions, colours, lighting and furniture work together, and how everything reaches your home.

Depending on your project, we can support the design, sourcing, ordering, delivery coordination, assembly and final styling, with a clear scope agreed from the outset. Browse our recent interior projects to see how individual choices come together.

Different homes. A personal approach.

A home can feel connected without every room looking the same. We consider how colours, materials, furniture proportions and lighting relate from one space to the next, while giving each room what it needs for everyday life.

A calm family home: The Rydings

At this family home in Thirsk, layered colours, considered furniture and lighting helped create a sense of flow between rooms. It is an example of bringing a whole home together while retaining its character.

Questions before you get started

When should we involve an interior designer?

Ideally, before you commit to furniture or finishes. Early planning helps you consider the layout, proportions and overall direction together. If your project is already underway, we can discuss where design support would be useful. Our whole-home planning guide explains the decisions to consider.

Can you work with furniture we already own?

Yes. Tell us which pieces you want to keep and what you like about them. We can consider their dimensions, colours and character as part of the wider scheme, rather than assuming everything needs replacing.

Can you help furnish an empty home?

Yes. We can help plan a coherent scheme around how you live, the rooms you need and the furniture that fits. Read our guide to furnishing a whole home beyond the main furniture pieces, then talk to us about your priorities.

Do you help with ordering, delivery and installation?

We can support sourcing, ordering, delivery coordination, furniture assembly and final styling as part of an agreed project scope. We’ll explain what is included in your proposal and where any separate specialist trade work is needed.

What affects the project budget?

The rooms involved, the amount of design support and the furniture and finishes selected all affect the scope. We talk through your priorities before preparing a proposal, so you understand the design work, purchasing and practical support included.

Can we approach our home in stages?

Tell us which rooms matter most and what you would like to tackle first. A wider design direction can connect later choices, even where work or purchases are phased. The sequence depends on your property, agreed scope and supplier lead times.
