The Riverdale
A beautiful bungalow set by the River Nidd
Unique Spaces
We start with how you use your home, the pieces you want to keep and the atmosphere you would like to create. Those everyday details help shape a scheme that feels personal.
Planning
We bring layouts, colours, furnishings and lighting into a considered proposal. Discuss the scope and priorities before individual purchases so the choices work together.
Delivery
Your proposal should explain the sourcing, delivery coordination, assembly and styling support included in your project. We agree these details with you before the work proceeds.
The Riverdale: living and dining room design
The brief for this bungalow by the River Nidd was to bring fresh life to its living and dining spaces. Our proposal brought the decorating, curtains, furniture and lighting choices together, with a softer palette balanced by texture and statement details.
We proposed removing the dated wallpaper and replastering the walls before introducing Farrow & Ball’s Mizzle and School House White. A botanical feature wall adds colour and character, while the quieter surrounding tones give the furnishings room to stand out.
A cream-toned carpet and full-length curtains soften the living area. The darker furniture creates contrast: geometric cabinet fronts, a textured television unit and a sideboard provide a thread through the adjoining spaces. Table lamps add pools of light, and the chandelier above the dining table brings a focal point to the scheme.
The gallery shows how these choices sit together, from the view through the glazed doors to the smaller finishing details. If you are considering a similar refresh, our full-home planning guide explains how to bring the layout, finishes and furnishing decisions into one brief.
